A visit to this beautiful home complemented by a fresh and entertaining tour by a lovely lady who obviously is very passionate about all that is Casa Bernard. The history, not only of the actual house, but also of the treasures, within is riveting. Well done and thanks for restoring and preserving !!

This is a truly beautiful building and definitely worth a visit. We were charmed by the town of Rabat and wish that we could have spent more time there.

A must see ! An absolutely beautiful house which should be visited by tourists and locals alike. The first room in the house dates back to 1350...great start. The guide is very knowledgeable and makes the visit a wonderful experience.

As an American expatriate living in Malta most of each year, I volunteer to organize monthly "visits" for a local group of other resident expatriates to Maltese attractions and this was one of our best experiences to date. Casa Bernard is a lovingly restored pallazino dating to the fifteen hundreds during the time of the Knights of Malta and certainly... More

Beautiful restoration of a traditional Maltese house. The host is the owner of the home and is delightful. Must visit if you're in the area.

What a great way to learn about the Maltese noble history. The guide and owner is very engaging and shares his passion for the history and belongings acquired throughout the years by the family..

I passed this house while wandering up the street and saw the notice on the door that it was open to the public. I returned to the cafe to collect my friends and we were back just in time for the last visit of the day at 4.00pm. The owners made us very welcome but as they were going out... More

My wife and I visited Casa Bernard without an appointment and were fortunate to arrive at just the right time. We were conducted around this handsome historic house by Mr Magri, the present owner, whose commentary is both informative and entertaining, and whose anecdotes brought this exquisite house to life. The present owners have lavished not a little expense and... More

At 8 euro per person this is by far the best value for money heritage visitor attraction in Malta. Dr Bernard was a physician to Grandmasters of the Order of St John (then the Hospitalliers now the Knights of Malta). Dr Bernard was given a mansion in Rabat which was restored 18 years ago by the present propriiietors (a retired... More
