The soaps are amazing and the staff really look into each aspect of the products when it comes to sustainability. The only issue I have is with the use of plastics in the products, which could definitely be reduced... rather than that, even when asked about the use of palm oil or why there are no conditioner bars (only shampoo) I received well informed, logical replies. Highly recommend it and the soaps are lovely!

We visited Sliema on a dare and because I saw this little shop on TA. Though not exactly where it says it is on the TripAdvisor map, you can find it if yountype the address in Google Maps. We called the shop and they told us how to walk (and even offered to come find us). The shop is exquisite. All the soaps are handmade and they even let you compose your own cleanser and lotion with the perfume and therapeutical oils that you like. I was helped by (who I think was) the owner and she explained everything enthusiastically, without being pushy at all. She advised me on some things for my skin type while my boyfriend sat on a comfortable couch and talked to the rest of the staff about good places to eat sushi or rent a car. When I was done deciding what I wanted (after a good 30 minutes) and had paid (was cheaper than I'd thought, what with the customised lotion!), they spent like 20 minutes advising us on what to visit in Malta, how to get there easily, where to eat, what to order and on which day. This made my boyfriend very happy because he was afraid we were running out of things to do...
All in all: please visit here, even if it's just to meet these amazing people. As for the products: the facial soap is wonderful and I've used the cream twice now and my skin is glowing!
I might even come back here during our stay to buy more stuff.
10/10. Just go.

Checked the address again and it's correct so not sure why TA took you elsewhere ...darrrn! Anyway, thanks again for visiting and of course for leaving us such a nice review. Take care and hope all the places we gave you are to your liking aswell. Enjoy Malta :) x

Fabulous place for gifts and if you need something specific, this shop has the soap or the lotion for you. The shop sells all important anti mosquito creams which are natural and a must for Malta. They also sell teas and handmade local jewellery.

I was studying abroad and my body was reacting to the change, but everything changed when I found SoapMalta! My skin went back to normal, my hair thrived (her conditioner is AMAZING), and overall these were some of the best products I've ever used!
I have kinky curly African hair and really dry skin and her products worked on my skin, I can't stop singing her praises!

This shop is a treasure- the only one of its kind found in Malta. All soaps are free from toxic chemicals and are very beneficial to the skin made by the shop owner herself. It reminds me of a cross between the 'Chocolat' shop and the shop in 'Mistress of the Spices'... not only are the soaps beneficial to us, but they smell absolutely divine and look so soo pretty. I tried them once and cannot go back to using commercial soap. My skin feels absolutely lovely after using them. One does not only find soaps (though there is a very wide range and new soaps being introduced very often much to the pleasure of us regulars), but I also find nice loose-leaf herbal teas, natural bath sponges, soy bean candles, incense and also cruelty free make up + information on the products and their benefits. This is definitely one of my top favourite shops.

I used to spend a lot of money on expensive and branded skin care but nothing beats this. The products are raw and genuine and one can feel them work. I am now spending 1/3 of the price for better products. The soaps leave the skin soft and supple.

Visited last fall and loved this shop, soap and scent fanatic that I am. It's delightfully and colorfully decorated and full of lovely smells. Her products are excellent, too. I bought several soaps and lotions to bring home to remind me of gorgeous Malta. So take a walk around peaceful Sliema and stop in to Soap Cafe!

Soap Café is more Mrs Digr's department than mine but she tells me that she was impressed by the imaginative range of soaps and other gifts. Being a simple soul, uneducated in the world of toiletries, I still found it rather fascinating, with a bewildering array of scents. It's a perfect place to buy imaginative gifts for others or even to treat yourself.
It's worth taking the trouble to find it and have a look but don't be caught out by the opening hours which are rather limited, being 4.30 to 7.30 pm on weekdays and 10.30am to 1.30pm on Saturdays.

Hi there :)... Thanks for the lovely comment :) . Thanks for pointing out the opening times...Since we produce most of the stuff ourselves , we currently can't extend our opening times, but should anyone like to come at a different time, they can also do so by setting an appointment. Thanks for visiting our store :)

I wanted to stop in to this shop after reading about it on TripAdvisor, as I am a big fan of handmade soaps. The owners are amazingly nice - she explained the different types of soaps and what circumstances each would be most effective. I picked up several bars, including the coffee soap. The shop is lovely and the soaps are a high quality. I will be back to stock up the next time I'm in Malta!
