This is a fun area to shop and stroll. It can be strenuous because it is an upward walk then down hill toward the sea. From the entrance, it resembles the hilly roads of downtown San Francisco.

A terrific way to see the city on foot either in a group walk or on one's own. There is much to see especially to store fronts and the upper floor apartments that hang out over the street.

Due to the location it is naturally the main street for Vallettas visitors and it is very illustrative from the historical point of view. Every house has a balcony and many of them together create a quaint look of the street. Some doors have funny knockers, like asking one to use them. This street is a must for visiting if... More

Its a neat and clean place well set out. Not too wide, but sufficient for tourists who enjoy walking. Keep looking up and you can admire the past architecture of Valetta.

The street offers a wonderful vista through old Valletta and down to the waterfront. It was very near our guest house so we saw a lot of it but never dared walk down it as it is seriously steep. But our taxi to the airport had no such qualms and we had an urban version of a white-knuckle ride!

Good architecture with enclosed balconies. You have to look up! Restaurants that are trendy. Even M and S have a cafe there. Didn't get to The Gut part where the night life apparently is.

I don't see why it is listed as an attraction in Valletta. It's just another street in Valletta with a notorious past.

Loved walked down this street to get to the bastion. It's not busy doing the day and offers a good look into life in Valletta over the centuries past. Then this narrow streets with traditional colourful balconies opens onto a view of the open blue sea far below the bastion. Amazing view! Having to get to this view by going... More

My disclaimer is that I was here during the day (i.e. not the right time), and the street is a very narrow pedestrian-only alley with a few restaurants. I preferred walking down some of the other streets such as the Triq Ir-Repubblika instead.

Very narrow street that apparently was Valletta's red light district in the period after WWII. Now it's filled with cool and popular bars and restaurants, very popular with young locals.
