The dome that marks Valletta's skyline belongs to the Carmelite Church. Some restauration works were going on there during our visit, nevertheless I found the church impressive, beautiful and peaceful.

A pretty church to come across with a stunning high altar. The think I notice in Catholic Churches in Malta is the dramatic depiction of the Crown of Thorns on Christ's head.

Although it wasn't as fancy as saint Johns it was definitely much more calm and a better religious experience. Be careful as there are a lot of trip hazards which may disturb others

This church is a really great superstructure, particularly when you look at its amazingly huge dome which features in postcards. It is a lovely building. The building itself has undergone several rebuilds over the centuries since the original church was established in the late sixteenth...More

My partner and I attended a concert here yesterday. The whole experience was spirituality beautiful. The guitarist Mr Arango gave a breathtaking performance, we loved the hospitality also.

This is the most special place in Mdina. Just a shame that some of the visitors didn't respect the peace and sacredness of the church with their chatting.

We saw the Carmelite Church while attending a concert being given by an amazing solo classical guitarist named A.J. Arango. It was a superb location, and the acoustics magnified an already fantastic performance by the young guitarist. There are larger and more lavish churches in...More
