And the legs! I wanted to try it as looked like a Valletta icon. 1 Euro is about the right price for the 15 second ascent.

This is a massive elevator to take you from the lower waterfront to the upper gardens and the cost is one euro. They do have stairs you can walk but it is a long walk. Well worth the one euro

This is a very handy find if you do not want to climb any more steps! It can be found in the corner of the upper Barrakka gardens and goes down to the waterfront near the hop on hop off bus

I don't think so. Access to the war rooms is from the Upper Barrakka garden. The lift goes down to the 3 cities ferry terminal.

The opening hours of this facility is between 0700hrs and 2200hrs

Ticket access machines at the bottom were not working early October just left open, but the pay machine was. Only one euro or your ferry ticket. The subsidy must be enormous, its not a lot to pay.
