Last time we visited Valletta this fountain was far from finished as the city gate area was being redeveloped for the City of Culture so it was great to now see it in all its glory. It’s certainly a standout feature and quite a draw for photos. I think it has been very well designed and will be a fabulous piece of architecture for years to come.

As you arrive in Valletta by most likely the public bus, the stop is opposite this fountain. As you climb the steps to make your way to Valletta you are 100% sure to be welcomed by the site of the Triton fountain. Many people can be seen there taking photos
Seems popular with the younger people as a hang out spot. The fountain is very big and beautiful. It really gives life to this area.

We found this fountain at the opposite end of the walkway from the statue of Maltese Independence. It is also directly outside the entrance to Valletta. It is in perfect condition, although it is switched off in high winds. But on a perfect sunny day it is stunning.

Situated just outside the city gates, the fountain consists of three enormous bronze statues of Triton, the Greek god of the sea, holding up a large basin. The three statues are standing in a round base that is lined with slabs. The fountain was built in the 1950s and dedicated in 1959.

This amazing fountain is located between the bus depot an the main entry point to Valletta. Unfortunately the day we visited it was undergoing maintenance so there was no water, just workmen. An amazing structure nonetheless. Well worth seeing at night too if you can.

Currently there is no water going through the fountain as it’s under maintenance. The Triton fountain is just outside the city gates of Valletta. It’s a nice area to walk on warm evenings to look at the city walls and the nearby war memorial. It can get hot on sunny days so bring a hat and water.

This fountain is stunningly beautiful. I felt obligated to take a selfie with it in the background. That's unusual for me. The surrounding area is also beautiful. I could feel the history of this place even though it has recently been renovated. Awesome!

Beautiful day and night, and in excellent condition. It's a lovely place to sit and watch the world go by. It's also a nice place to stop and have a snack from one of the many eateries around it or just sit waiting for your bus.

This is such a beautiful fountain at the entrance to Valletta town centre.
You can't really miss it as across from the main entrance.
It was such a lovely place to sit and cool down on a hot day, as the water splashes out due to the force of the water, although it can make the ground slippery.

Next to terminal. I avoided the ferry as Sleima Feryy terminal Valetta side is a hike steep uphill. The bus from Sliema takes you
alongside this fountain. Two scoops of icecream for 2 euros!!
