This is a pleasant museum and is included in the Luxembourg card so is worth a visit. Unfortunately, you can not gain access to any of the main exhibits about the city's history for the next six months at the moment due to renovation and we were not aware of this until we arrived. We were a bit disappointed. However... More

This museum has FREE entrance every Thursday from 6:00 pm. Because of this, I was only allowed into 'Football Hallelujah' exhibit (which will be on until March 2017) rather than other permanent exhibitions of the museum. Nonetheless, the exhibition was interesting and interactive and will appeal to you even if football is not your thing. It was spaced out over... More

Nicely presented and well-laid out museum with fun artefacts and lots of different things to see. There's a fairtrade shop at the end with some really lovely things, ended up buying a couple of gifts. All explanations are written in multiple languages including English.

We stumbled on this treat as we explored the old city of Luxembourg. Delightful building very tastefully combining the original stonework of the medieval framework with glass and wood modern additions. Interesting account of the history and development of the city encompassing the sociological aspects too. Great place to start your visit.

This was a great museum in the town centre that gives an accessible and easy to understand history of the city, nation and culture. It's old fashioned-ish, not massively interactive but there is a wealth of information and the staff are friendly and helpful.

This museum was a little different to many we have been to as we have traveled across Europe. It covers the history of Luxembourg and its people through many different displays and also interactive displays. There are story boards in French, Germany and English and this goes for the audio displays as well. It is built inside several restored houses... More

Fascinating building, cool glass elevator is a must!. Lots of nooks and crannies throughout made the flow of the building alittle difficult to understand and followat times. That being said, the historical presentations were excellent and I learned a lot about the city and its surrounding countryside.

A fascinating museum found in the most unique place. Well curated, it had the most interesting exhibits and you walk away having learned so much. Spent almost 3 hours there. A real treat

It's hard to keep track of the history of Luxembourg as a country - but they do a good job here. Displays of the growth of the city and artwork are interesting. Take time to read about the exhibits as you walk through. I enjoyed the newsreels (movies) of historical events.
