Beautiful beach in a lovely environmental area. Loads of wildlife, including crabs and birds in the wetlands surroundings the beach. Loads of parking too. Lovely warm water.

Pleasant beach with calm waters in bay. Short train drive from Faro. Only inconvenience was that staff only accepted cash payment for sunbeds, which we didn't have. Had to walk back to the village to draw money out in the biggest heat. Only 1 building which sells ice cream, drinks and food.

Nice beach but no sun beds when we visited. May 12. Reached via a small ferry costing 2.25 euros each way

Walk the beech, swim in the Ria Farmosa, then go back into town (yet another true fishing village) and explore it. Pick one of the many street restaurant, we chose Marisa which proved to be spectacularly delicious with a nice varied menu. (see separate review)

Is a relatively unspoilt fishing town approximately 20km East of Faro and a great introduction to the east Algarve, Visiting the town and its beaches can be agreat daytrip to experience some of the " Local " Algarve many of the bigger and more famous coastal towns are lacking with some of the most stunning beaches within easy reach. Its also great for a day on the beach too!

Good busy beach with cafes just behind, plenty of shells along the shore to gather and keep kids amused and the old lifeboat house is nearby, the tide does have a fair reach in and out

The whole Fuzeta area has a prime location. The (very cheap) rail link in both directions along the Algarve gives reliable connections to the larger towns, such as Portimao, Lagos, Faro and Olhao. The mainland beach is available, and the Island beach is superb, with the regular shuttle ferry linking the island to the mainland.

Can be busy at weekends but still able to find plenty of space for sunbathing, swimming and general relaxing. A good mix of families, couples and individuals, a nice mix of locals and visitors.

How is the beach accessed - I noticed that in Tavira you need to get a ferry

Yes you get a ferry, but they are very regular and it is a short trip that is actually rather pleasant, it seemed no trouble at all. However, it might be awkward with small children.
