Located near Kakopetia , this rather smallish 12th cent. Unesco's listed church , has beautiful frescoes . With its 17th cent. added roof , it reminded us of another Unesco listed church , near Lagoudera : Church Panayya Tu Araka (see separate review) . If...More

The church is a must-see if you’re in the area. Beautiful frescoes all over the walls and ceiling. Note that as of March 2018, there are some renovations being done, so the access is a bit limited - but it’s still worth the visit.

This is a beautiful little church, on the UNESCO World Heritage list. It is in an isolated position and visitors must contact the priest to obtain access, via the local coffee shop; do buy a drink there, from the very friendly and helpful owner. The...More

Small but interesting church. Picture of Virgin Mary part covered in plastic to receive kisses of faithful visitors. Intersting tree hung bell.

A tiny little church with such an unusual history with a double roof structure, it pays to read up a little on the history of the building as there is minimal information at the site. A shame you aren't allowed to take pictures inside, but...More

It's a little difficult to find the route of it, because from the outside we see only soccer field and sport facilities. Also there is only us there. 30 minute is enough for photographing if you want to have a peep, I would say that...More

Worth visiting if you have a car and are in Kakopretria. Lovely frescos inside, bright colours. 15th century 'extra' roof is quite unusual.

Very nice church. History was interesting. Our guide gave us information about the beautiful paintings. The entrance was free.

We got there just before it closed, and the woman was nice and stayed for a few more minutes as we looked around. Beautiful paintings inside. Recommend.
