You will need a head for heights here but when you get to the top the view is well worth the walk up 600 steps (although these are well spaced out).

This has to be my favourite attraction in the whole of Northern Cyprus. The adventure started right after leaving the car next to the ruined monument to the plane crash victims. The path up to the castle is not rough or dangerous as some would...More

It is the steepest and most difficult castle of Cyprus. It was built around the eleventh century, during the Byzantine period. It is 950 m high above sea level. When I climb on it, my breath is cut off, but the view is breathtaking. I...More

An excellent free attraction. Fairly easy steps to climb up. Interesting ruins. Exceptional views. No café. Wear sensible shoes and take some water with you.

Both sites very interesting and worth the hair pin bends. A knowledgeable guide will help. Quite a climb to a view point. Not for the faint hearted. €1 for lavatory.
