Loukia and Michael Zampelas Art Museum is located in the heart of Nicosia, Kaimakli. It is a unique Arts Centre housed in a modern architectural structure that combines tradition and innovation. In the Museum's permanent collection you can experience a taste of European art movements of the 20th century, the Cypriot trends, and Cypriot culture as seen through the eyes of Cypriot artists. At the Zmart Gallery, which is based on the Museum's ground floor, you encounter distinctive exhibitions of modern and contemporary art, film screenings and artist talks. The Museum also offers the opportunity for visitors to participate in educational programmes, workshops, and tours. At the Zmart shop you will find unique, collectible items inspired by the artworks found in the Museum's permanent collection, while at the Museum's Zmart Cafe you can enjoy a cup of Art flavoured coffee!

This place was a positive surprise to us, as we had never heard of it. The private initiative - in times of clear Cypriot stress - is very very laudable, and the collection, maybe surprising, is interesting and worth to see. Strongly recommend
