We wanted to see the palace and to be honest we’re a little disappointed as there’s. It much to see. You can go thru it 20 min or less. While all the rooms are beautiful and very well maintained, I was hoping for more information...More

The Prince's Palace is located high above the harbor. For those staying close to the harbor and unable to walk up (or prefer not to), the local bus and taxis can take you there. The views from the Prince's Palace were extraordinary and panoramic, and...More

We visited here on a summer's evening and it was very peaceful and beautiful. The guards were still present and there wasn't large crowds so it was easy to get nice photos of the palace and of views down to the port.

Bought a combined ticket for oceanarium and palace at 19€ an adult. The two places are 15 minute up hill walk apart with the cathedral in between. Money is being spent on the internals of the palace and refurbishment is still on going but it...More

It's a bit of a strenuous walk up to this location but then again there's no rush - whilst the ascent from the harbour-side town area below can be challenging, so be warned, you can get here having had chance to sit and rest. We...More

Our guide timed the trip to perfection as we arrived 5 minutes to 12 just as the soldiers were lining up for the changing of the guard....just a pity about 300 other people had the same idea.

It looks like a small fort from the outside, and doesn’t have much to distinguish it architecturally. The changing of the guard is a comparatively drab ceremony by soldiers in unremarkable uniforms. And don’t buy from any of the souvenir shops facing the palace. Prices...More

Definitely a must see, even though very little of the palace is actually open to the public. You can buy a ticket just for the palace museum, or add on the automobile museum, which is in a different part of the city centre. The ticket...More

We got the hop on hop off tour bus from the casino at stop 5 to the Prince’s Palace at stop 7 and lucky for us we arrived at 11.45am. Just in time for the changing of the guards! It started at 11.55am and lasted...More

We went late in the afternoon, if I recall it was around 5pm in August. There was no line up at all, we walked right in and the palace was not crowded. Check for closing times. We spent about an hour and a half exploring the... More

Hi, it is a hop on and off train. The first station is at the front of the staircase of the aquarium. There is a sign there with the train timetable and its stops.
