Nice one! Beautiful buidling and interesting exhibits

Definitely worth a visit! Look out for the whale skeleton with the broken (and healed) ribs - most likely a pre-industrial ship strike.

Maybe not the best aquarium in the world but it is very nice nonetheless. A bit pricey though. Just a few hundred meters away from the aquarium you can get a great view of the city and harbor. great spot for photo taking

Did the walking tour to the Palace, gardens and then walked past the Museum. It is a beautiful building but we had done enough museums for a while so we just walked around and sat for a while to soak in the ambience. It is, however, situation in a lovely acreage

This is my personal opinion and I do not have the scientific background BUT - the tanks appear really small for some species. The overall museum is beautiful from the outside, perched high on the rock but inside? There are much better aquariums / museums elsewhere, this one is not worth a visit.

Hello ! Thanks for your opinion :) It is true that we are not the biggest Museum in the World, but what we have to offer is a different experience in a unique place with a unique story written successfully by the Prince Albert Ier, the great Jacques-Yves Cousteau and others :) Many of these species are territorial species. This is a remarkable collection and quite brilliantly displayed. Interpretation of exhibits has come a long way in recent years and Monaco has learned well.

Really cool place to take the kids or just go wonder around on a rainy day. Great views over Monaco when you're walking up from the port. It's worth a quick wonder around the palace as it's just across the road! So kills 2 birds really.

We picked this to while away a wet afternoon and enjoyed it. The basement aquarium is wide-ranging and illustrates species well. The jellyfish are lit in changing colours and their movements make for very colourful photos. The other floors are more conventional museum-style scientific coilections.

Cafe - Restaurant on the terrace of the museum. A very negative surprise for such Grandiose venue. After the visit of the aquarium, in that rainy and gloomy day, we were hoping to find a cosy cafe-restaurant equal to the grandiose baroque architecture of the building and to museum's quality. In the contrary we came across with a makeshift metallic... More

The Aquarium: Don't expect "Big glass windows with big sharks. In contrary it is a small glass window fish-library which contains a great variety of the underwater life. The way the aquarium it is organized it is mostly educative using simple forms of information for the species that are showed in every window. The entrance fee (13€) I consider it... More
