This garden would be worth visiting if it weren't towered over and surrounded by construction sites. The noise ruins any chance of relaxation! However, if you can't help but be nearby, it's an okay spot to get away from all the concrete and dust for half an hour. It's a small garden but it is free, so no complaints there. I would rate it 2/5 but it's not the garden's fault for its exterior surroundings! Perhaps it will be nicer in the future when construction work is complete.

This Japanese style garden harmoniously combines stone, water and vegetation in a Zen style compact space in Monaco.

Take time to encompass the beauty of nature with the small water falls, stepping stones, lanterns, exotic plants and trees in the pretty landscape.

Watch Koi carp and see how many different varieties you can find on the board with out falling in.

Cross the red bridge, sit in a pagoda and read a book if you have time or just walk through on your way to the beach.

No admission charge! Good for your health! So relax and enjoy!

These peaceful gardens are an excellent antidote to the commercial capital that surrounds it - well worth the time to relax and recharge.

It is a wonderful and very easy walk up and down the gardens. We went down to the caves with a 2 1/2 year old. Loved seeing it but would not recommend with kids. Too slippery at times. Three hundred steps down. Loved the gardens though.

Small garden but miticulous and beautiful. A lot of effort has gone into this garden, training their gardeners in japan initially. Children love going for walks thru this garden but it's small so don't plan on occupying them for long there.

A beautiful Japanese garden, unique in all of Europe. The one in San Francisco is the only other one to match.
Also known as a zen garden, it creates a miniature landscape through carefully composed arrangements of rocks, water features, moss, pruned trees and bushes.
The fact a zen garden is usually relatively small, don't come here and focus on that!
It is usually meant to be seen while seated from a single viewpoint, such as on the porch or from the teahouse.
This garden imitates the intimate essence of nature (not its actual appearance), and serves as an aid to meditation and reflection........Enjoy!

Just going down following the roard from the Casino', in 10_15mimutes by walk we arrived to the Japanese Garden 🐠 it was very easy to find thrust me, is a Monaco green and quite corner next to Grimaldi Form; I really felt like I was in Japan everything looked so original and authentic : the tea's house, the red bridge on the carps lake and the lake was super full of friendly carps! They were so lovely! 😍😍😍 we stand on the rocks very near the lake's water and they come so close to us! Was really lovely 😍😍😍 some of them were huge as well! There were trying to put the head above the water 🎣🐠😍 so lovely to see it, I love it! ❤ also all the vegetations, some small fountains, stone paths, gazebos were you can sit and relax, listen the sound of nature 😚 you can have also a pic nic there, it was really confortable 😚😚😚 I suggest to go there to have a taste of Japan and of course of nature ❤ I will put some picture too, my sister has them!

Stumbled across this beautiful little garden as we wandered around Monaco. This was so pretty and unbelievably, free! Only downside was no cafe! However well worth wandering through as part of a Monaco visit. Good location by the beach......

We visited Monte Carlo as a part of an excursion from a cruise so we were limited on time. Visiting the Japanese gardens is a must as they are simply stunning and nothing like I've ever experienced. Considering they are situated above a large car park, because we were too busy admiring the beauty that surrounded us, you wouldn't have noticed. There are a number of seats in the shade where you have chance to sit and relax (maybe even have a packed lunch). I would recommend taking a walk up to the casino and making time to have a walk around here when visiting Monte Carlo, you won't be disappointed.
