Great street with lots of shops, mostly a pedestrian area. Easy to get too and walking is pleasant. Lots to see and do, and some great photo opportunities. Be sure and check out the smaller shops down the side streets. Plenty of places to stop...More

Look out for the bicyclists that seem to come out of nowhere. Mid-November was not very crowded, so I can imagine other times of the year that this can get REALLY congested. Still, very quaint shopping and restaurant district. Worthy of the walk.

Lovely street with some fantastically quaint shops. Expensive but it's in the middle of Salzburg so expected it really! Salzburg itself is really lovely. Lots of history and some beautiful views.

This is a lovely street to walk down with plenty of shops to look in. Many are small and quirky and have loads of charm. I loved looking at all the shop signs hanging above the street.

Great place to window shop but is touristy and expensive for shopping. Lights were strung above this pedestrian street which made it look neat.

These is a great street to wander up and down and shop. Just know your prices. Lots of restaurants and cafes and even a McDonalds.

Touristy? YES, Crowded? YES . But a great place for a shop , lunch or coffee. There is a great wine cave halfway up on the left, mostly locals, with a fab range of good wines and whiskys by the glass.

You can find most anything you wish to buy. Beautiful fine leather and clothing and delicious European Coffee. We went twice while in Salzburg. A must visit.

One of the main pedestrian walkways in the old part of Salzburg. Awash with good shops, hotels, restaurants and cafes. Nice to stroll through and take in the ambience of the whole place.

Linzergasse allows for a leisurely stroll, with shops and two grocery stores. You can see some interesting buildings that have been built into the side of the mountain.
