central location, nice place to go to escape throngs of tourists and mid day heat. Interesting to read the old grave markers; beautiful noise as the church bells tolled the noon hour. Good place to recharge your batteries after lots of walking.

The tomb of Archbishop Wolf Dietrich is the center point of this cemetary, but it is interesting to look at all the old tombstones. The inscriptions and decorations tell history in an unusual way. Paracelsus is also buried here.

This is a very, very special place if you like to feel peoples souls buried in this special place. You will find graves older than 200 years in a very scenic surrounding. Also the Salzburg catacombs are at this place and definitively worth a visit.

I wanted to visit this place as it is the final resting place for family members of Mozart. It is a peaceful place to come to.
