Please do not cramp your tour schedule as you will then not enjoy your trip to the fullest.Hallstat is distant and one whole day is needed exclusively for it. Untersberg is very close to Salzburg. and the city bus no. 25 will take you there in about 40 mins,You need two hours there on top in addition to some time for cable car queue - so you need 4 hours of the day for it.So please take your decision accordingly.

You get the bus 25 at the Salzburg Hbf bus station which is right outside the Hbf. From there the Untersberg stop is the second last or last. They announce all stops in the bus. The Salzburg card is most useful as all bus rides and one time entry to virtually everything in Salzburg is free. The Untersberg stop is bang outside the main entrance for the cable car, literally a walk across the road.
