Short walk from the harbour (if arriving by boat) and regular cable car trips up. Cable car is very smooth and fast. The views as wonderful from the top right across the lake and all the Alps on the other side. It is breathtaking.
The tram (cable car) ride was purchased by us in conjunction with a Bodenseeschiff boat ride from Lindau to Bregenz at a very reasonable price. The boat docked within a five minute walk of the tram station.
