About
The „Concerts in Mozart’s House“ take place in the house of Mozarts first apartment in Vienna, now the monastery of the “German Teotonic Order”. Mozart lived and worked here for Archbishop Colloredo in the year 1781. The “Mozart Ensemble” will enchant you with a musical program that includes well-known compositions as well as great works of famous composers like Mozart, Haydn, Schubert, Beethoven, Bach etc. By performing in Austria and abroad, the “Mozart Ensemble” has established itself in the Viennese concert culture and has become an “insider tip” for visitors from all over the world.

In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. Took a while to find this but it’s one street down from Stephandom and in the Tuetonic Order House on Singerstrasse
The room itself is atmospheric with superb acoustics
The performance was of a good standard with violinist cellist and pianist
There was a small interval with a glass of Sekt/Prosecco at €5
The programme was varied and included Schubert ,Beethoven and of course Mozart.
The ensemble interacted with the audience explaining some of the history

I had a wonderful time at the Mozarthaus. The members of the quartet were lovely and put on an incredible performance! I went solo and I had a great time. I would recommend to any fans of Mozart or any music lovers!! Very surreal experience.

Horrible experience! The front desk officer was very rude, pushing us to leave the place because the organizers sold too many tickets for a concert we could not attend because of their mistake and we were left outside.

Perfect venue to enjoy the music. Centrally located and connected to history. Even though the room is small, get front seats - makes a difference.

We previously attended a concert here in 2011 - which was excellent. This time we were very impressed by the restoration of the room's frescoes - and it’s heating! The players and the programme of Mozart, Bach and Haydn was joyful - a lovely way to start a Friday evening in Vienna.

The setting …..the music …..all simply fabulous. A once in a lifetime experience.

Small, intimate and ornate setting for a program that included Mozart, Beethoven, Bach, Boradin and Schubert.

Listening to the string quartet perform in the place where Mozart once did was incredibly special. I would highly recommend for anyone - even those who don’t usually enjoy classical music.
