EXPERIENCE HUNDERTWASSER UP CLOSE: Art - Achitecture - Nature - Vision Two intriguing museums experiences await the visitors at the KUNST HAUS WIEN. The Museum Hundertwasser presents the world's biggest collection of Austrian exceptional artist Friedensreich Hundertwasser (1928 -2000): his world famous paintings, fine art prints, tapestries and architectural designs. Here you can immerse yourself in his imaginative world of art inside and out - colorful walls and uneven floors in the interior, the artistic façade with tiles and color fields on the outside. "Tree tenants" grow from the windows, plants and flowers inhabit the rooftop and inner courtyard. In Vienna's first "green museum" one can sense Hundertwasser's visionary mind and experience his ecological engagement on site. Beyond that the KUNST HAUS WIEN is Vienna's premier house for photography exhibitions: changing exhibitions introduce the biggest names of photography to a wide audience.

So glad we went we hadn't heard of this artist but loved his work and the building. There's a good cafe inside as well, well worth a visit.

I was unfamiliar with Hundertwasser, but this museum educated me very well. The architecture of the building (both inside and out) are unlike anything you've ever seen. If you like art, a must see.

I first encountered Hundertwasser's work over 40 years ago. It's still fresh and exciting. The Kunst Hays has a very comprehensive collection. Terrific to see a group of children there, learning about art through these wonderful works.

We loved the Hundertwasser exhibition. So different to everything else we had seen in Vienna. Would highly recommend a visit to anyone who enjoys colour in their life!

A complete overview of Hunderwasser's works, philosophy and development. The buidling itself is beautiful, colourful, a bit tricky to navigate as floors are uneven. The exhibition is impressive and comprehensive, with a full life story of Hunderdwasser to start off. Can recommend a flamkuche in the courtyard cafe as well.

I loved the house itself. The outside especially. However the art itself wasn't really my thing. I enjoyed a few pieces but personally it wasn't for me. We had free entry to this with the Vienna Pass but if we hadn't, for me it wouldn't be worth the money.

This is a cute little place to visit but not mandatory. We walked to this place from the Belvedere and enjoyed the scenery of the city. if you like art i would recommend this place other than that you can skip

Kunsthaus Vienna is located in the 3rd district and offers the Museum Hundertwasser or the temporary exhibition. Current exhibition is Nasan Tur's work "Running Blind". Very interesting! A guided tour is highly recommended.
