The Cultural World Heritage Site of Schönbrunn Palace is Austria's most frequently visited tourist attraction. In the palace the residential and state rooms with their original furnishings and decorations convey an authentic impression of the imperial lifestyle. The park and gardens surrounding the palace make Schönbrunn in a unique synthesis of Baroque art as well as providing a convenient and highly popular recreational area for Vienna's population.

This was a nice tour however it was definitely pricey for what you get. 15 euros for just 15 or so rooms and 15-20 minutes is on the pricey side. Then you must pay extra to see the gardens.

For being a frequent traveler through Europe I see lots of castles. This one easily tops the list. Lots to do! Book your ticket into the palace early. We did the 40 room tour and it took just under an hour. The rooms truly are...More

This palace has different type of tours and we took the basic one. It covers all the important rooms of palace and it is worth for money. It is always crowded so better to go early in the morning to get the tickets.

It is a beautiful castle worth a visit. It also has beautiful views and fountain that add to the overall experience. The only thing is that it is quite large and spread out so do not rush through and spend time to go through it.

Vienna’s 13th district has always been in the shadow
of Schönbrunn Palace and its gardens, but has
interesting hidden gems waiting to be discovered.
Allow half a day for the imposing Habsburg residence
and the gardens with Gloriette belvedere. Reserve the
other half to discover the secret charms of this posh
residential neighbourhood. Sneak out of the gardens at
Hietzinger Tor (Hietzing Gate) and head down

Yes, no need to have a guided tour. Just buy the ticket. You don't even have to make the line, you can buy it from the self service machines, and this will save you tons of time because there is always a long queue
I would like to purchase the classic pass through the official website. What does the time I select mean? Is it the time of the tour or I can arrive anytime and tour whatever at anytime? Thanks!

Hi aamberrrrr It's a very crowded touristic place so you have to be there at the time you selected and can only visit what the classic pass suggests (as there are many packages) Enjoy!
