HAve you seen one Victorian palm house, you have seen all of them. Same structure, same content on the inside same impressive view from the outside. I would hesitate to go inside again, but seeing it from the outside is a great detour in Schonbrunn...More

Admire the cast iron architecture from the 1880s. There are 3 separate rooms with different temperature and plants from ground to ceiling.

We heard good things about this place so we decided to come for lunch on a lovely sunny day. The place was quite full but they still found us a nice table inside. We had a lovely cheeseburger that came with sweet potato French fries...More

The Palm house building is wonderful. Very like the Palm House at Kew in London but smaller. Sadly the staircases leading up to the walkway were not open and looked liked they had been blocked for a number of years. Lovely paths lead you through...More

Close to city, a nice cafe with plenty of selection and a ton of different palm trees. Definitely worth a visit.

The Palmenhaus on the Schoenbrunn Castle grounds is magical. The architecture alone is magnificent and the rage of tropical plants and flowers are just beautiful. When we went, in April 2018, there were also paintings along the path that added a really nice touch to...More

Beautiful palmhouse! I enjoyed walking around the greenhouse with my camera, photographing the lovely scenery the plants, trees and flowers made inside. If you're not into plants, I wouldn't really recommend visiting it but I enjoyed it immensely.

At this point, I can tell only about the exterior. This greenhouse is located in the Schonbrunn gardens, just next to the ZOO. It's a stunning building, promising exciting tour inside. Though from the price list you need to buy separate tickets for different parts...More

Vienna’s 13th district has always been in the shadow
of Schönbrunn Palace and its gardens, but has
interesting hidden gems waiting to be discovered.
Allow half a day for the imposing Habsburg residence
and the gardens with Gloriette belvedere. Reserve the
other half to discover the secret charms of this posh
residential neighbourhood. Sneak out of the gardens at
Hietzinger Tor (Hietzing Gate) and head down

The combined ticket cost details are given in the Vienna zoo website. You can buy the online ticket through their website. I believe you can buy the ticket at the attraction entrance also.
