Close to city, a nice cafe with plenty of selection and a ton of different palm trees. Definitely worth a visit.

The Palmenhaus on the Schoenbrunn Castle grounds is magical. The architecture alone is magnificent and the rage of tropical plants and flowers are just beautiful. When we went, in April 2018, there were also paintings along the path that added a really nice touch to...More

Beautiful palmhouse! I enjoyed walking around the greenhouse with my camera, photographing the lovely scenery the plants, trees and flowers made inside. If you're not into plants, I wouldn't really recommend visiting it but I enjoyed it immensely.

At this point, I can tell only about the exterior. This greenhouse is located in the Schonbrunn gardens, just next to the ZOO. It's a stunning building, promising exciting tour inside. Though from the price list you need to buy separate tickets for different parts...More

The flowers and plants at the Palmenhaus are not really my thing. However due to its age some of the plant also are old and big and therefor breathtaking. The building itself is worth the trip to. However entering is expensive so if your on...More

For something a bit more downtempo, this is perfect. It's such a beautiful green house and plants; perfect for a summer's day.

This visit is VERY expensive for what it offers. Plants and trees are in poor condition globally. Also, some parts were privately kept for some fashion shooting. While asking compensation to the staff, they did not care nor prevent before selling the tickets. Schönbrunn gardens...More

This was part of our Vienna pass and worth a look for all of the variety of plants. We are not educated in gardening or horticulture so did not appreciate the range of plants. It was a nice walk through and very warm on a...More

I’m not really a plant or garden-type person, but the architecture and design of the Palm House - a huge botanical greenhouse featuring plants from around the world - is exceptional. The 27,000 square-foot steel and glass structure, built by Emperor Franz Joesph in 1892,...More

Vienna’s 13th district has always been in the shadow
of Schönbrunn Palace and its gardens, but has
interesting hidden gems waiting to be discovered.
Allow half a day for the imposing Habsburg residence
and the gardens with Gloriette belvedere. Reserve the
other half to discover the secret charms of this posh
residential neighbourhood. Sneak out of the gardens at
Hietzinger Tor (Hietzing Gate) and head down

The combined ticket cost details are given in the Vienna zoo website. You can buy the online ticket through their website. I believe you can buy the ticket at the attraction entrance also.
