Nice place to relax, to recreation, to enjoy the nature. The woods had been used by Franz Joseph to hunt, now it is only for nature walks.

Lainzer Tiergarten, no comment necessary.... excellent nature, hiking, running (NO biking ) ground. Was the hunting location of our Emperor now recreation location of the normal people :-) Boars and other Game is running freely.... people as well......and right in the center on the top...More

Those woods used to be a hunting ground for Emperor Franz Joseph and Empress Elisabeth ("Sissi"), but nowadays it is a well loved recreation area for the Viennese people and tourists.

It's in the citty, just not in the center. It's about a 20-30 minute drive from the center. The animals are in fenced areas and they're mostly large grass-eating animals (like deer). We didn't see any snakes :-) Think of it... More
