More
Situated in the very heart of Vienna's City center, the Albertina houses one of the most important art collections of the world. Founded in 1776, the Museum today owns masterpieces by Da Vinci, Raphael, Michelangelo, Duerer, Rembrandt etc. These collections are presented in temporary exhibitions. The Batliner Collection "From Monet to Picasso" is permanentely on display and shows the most important works by artists from the age of modernism. The Habsburg Historic Staterooms of the Albertina give an air of Imperial glamour.

We were fortunate to be visiting when this museum was exhibiting "Monet bis Picasso" . Although the museum is known for graphic art this was very worthwhile.

Went here after spotting a poster for the Keith Haring exhibition. Was well worth the 12 euros entry price and hardly busy at all! Very impressive temporary and permanent exhibits in a great building.

We were lucky enough to see the Monet to Picasso exhibition - which was a lovely way to spend a coupe of hours. This was a private collection and donated for everyone to be able to experience - very reasonable entry prices.
