This is the center of universe in Vienna! So many shops and restaurants are clustered around this plaza. Many historical point of attractions are also located here as well!

As it is centrally located, you will walk by here at least once a day, with so much going on from coffee houses, to shopping, to street performers.... Its the happening place in town.

Stephansplatz is located in the very centre of Vienna. The location is very crowded, yet still incredibly beautiful and certainly worth visiting.

Right smack in the middle of Vienna, you can’t miss this area. Every imaginable brand is represented here. I’m not sure where else you have Prada, Cartier, Gucci etc all within feet of each other. Tons of shops and food. It’s a marvelous walking area!!

Stephansplatz is always busy, day or night. In my view it has become too touristy, with too many tour groups being guided around the square and in front of the main entrance to St. Stephen's Cathedral. Some nice book stores at the back of the...More

We happen to come to the north eastern part of Vienna which is near the river bank. There are lots of shopping place and restaurant here. The most impressive is the Stephansdom which is a cathedral.

Stephansplatz is dominated by the beautiful St. Stephen’s Cathedral, one of the tallest churches in the world. Directly across from the Cathedral is the striking modern Haas Haus for contrasting architecture. It is interesting to see the reflections of the Cathedral spires in the banks...More

The Stephansplatz is actually a great place to start at, while “touristing” in Vienna. It was very old and beautiful buildings, with a lot of old churchs. There are also a lot of nice shops there, which can be great for shopping.
