Inside look at their lives and the way they lived. A good tour guide will tell you all the real problems of ruling an empire with a young wife. You can see his hold onto an imperial pass and her stepping into the industrial age...More

This has more item's and gold etc on display than the treasury. This attraction is a mixture of classic pieces and story. There are a few creepy exhibits that enhance the experience. One of the better ones if you are comparing and an excellent place...More

Your ticket to the Sisi museum is included as part of the Hofburg ticket, it’s an interesting museum which hints at the life of a troubled woman. At the age of 15 she married off to her cousin and within a few years was a...More

I was fascinated about the Hapsburg history so on my recent trip to Vienna and Budapest I began reading about Sisi the Austrian Empress. The museum was not disappointing. So much to see and learn of the history of this interesting family.

Slowly beginning to get our heads round the Hapsburg family. This museum helps, even down to seeing her obsession with physical fitness - how bizarre for anyone to have their own gymnasium in this period. Much to see, you may tire of looking at endless...More

A very interesting focus on the tragic life of Sisi, Empress Elisabeth of Austria & Queen of Hungary...the wife of Emperor Franz Joseph I. A comprehensive collection of royal china, silver ware, decorative items from her palace apartment, personal clothing, etc. all intertwined in her...More

I looked forward to visiting the Sisi museum as it reminded me of the days when we lived in Bavaria, and my two, then little girls, and I would snuggle up on the sofa and watch the Sissi films with Romy Schneider. I loved everything...More

I have to admit, I didn’t think I wanted to see something all focused on Sisi. But it really wasn’t. It was a great exhibit of her dinner and service settings, dresses, info in her background and of course hair. And a good overview of...More

as we were there during off season we were able to walk in, so didn't purchase tickets online. If you have a concierge at your hotel, send an email prior to your trip. They are incredibly helpful. Have a great time!
