The beauty and grandeur of the Hofberg demands some level of etiquette. Sadly, the complete lack of crowd control meant a few people had their arms up the entire time filming and photographing with cameras casting ugly bright blue lights throughout the performance and a few people chatted and joked throughout all of which ruined the evening for me. The... More

Wiener Hofburg-Orchestra, we were lucky to see them in the Reduuten Hall and had a fantastically enjoyable evening! Having been lucky enough to see a number of international orchestras of superb quality, this wonderful group of musicians are outstanding. Professional, perfection in timing and delivery - with superb singers also entertainiing, it was an appeal to the masses. Moments of... More

Our concert was in the Mozart Room of the Konzerthaus. This is one of the smaller concert halls but all the better for its intimacy and good acoustics. The expensive seats are at the front but I preferred the front of the back set of seats as it gave me a wider view and probably a more balanced sound. The... More

This show is mainly for tourists. I picked it because it was modestly priced and close to our hotel, although it was very hard to find the actual entrance in the Hofsburg palace area. The music was very good with singers and some comedy moments. Make sure to get there early. We were about 45 min early and got good... More

Mozart at his best~~complete with opera singers. Strauss waltzes that included ballet performance. All of this is a beautiful setting with perfect acoustics . It was a fabulous even and especially so in light of the young age of many of the performers.

I was approached by Hansome Gentlemen in period costume hoping to sell me tickets to one of the Hofburg Orchestra Evenings. I was a little sceptical, and having checked that they had a license, I took the plunge. I found later that the tickets I was sold were exactly the same ones available at the ticket office. This Building is... More

Attended this concert at the Wiener Hofburg Palace. Beautiful music in Austria! There were between 15 and 20 pieces of music and about 1/3 included opera singers. There was even audience participation/interaction. The final piece was...ta dah! The Blue Danube!

I will make it clear that the decision to listen to the orchestra was made last minute. Our river cruise company (Viking) most likely added it as an included excursion as a "gift" to make up for inconveniences caused by having to change ships due to low river water levels. That said, we were totally enchanted by the fine performance... More

We went to a concert in their Hofburg-Redoutenaal. About 36 musicians playing serious to lighthearted samplings of Mozart and Strauss; including "Magic Flute" and "Blue Danube." They did straight instrumental and a few opera numbers. I would have given them 5 stars if the hall had better acoustics and A/C.

This orchestra is fantastic. I witnessed a musical performance on evening which was magnificent. The musicians clearly touched the audience. The conductor and the various performances associated with the concert were great. I would highly recommend.

Thank Tony C
