It is more than just an amusement park, it is also an outdoor museum in the heart of the city. You can enjoy the various attraction from the old days or some very modern, and it is for everyone...the biggest adrenaline attractions were the most impressive to me. But you can also have just a walk in the park while... More

Our hotel was near, and the first time we went in the morning. However when we visited the Park at night it was incredible, very big and with lots of attractions. Ideal to go with kids and good weather !!

Came here for the Ferris wheel followed by a picnic in the park. Ideal for families as plenty to see and cheap places to eat. Great free parks. Could do with more public toilets!

This place is full of entertainment activities both for kids and adults. The Ferris wheel, Madame Tussauds, Prater Museum and Auditorium. As a tourist, you are advised to have a Vienna Pass so that you get free entry in all the places.

The Praterstern is an important location in Vienna, as a train station, as a traffic hub, as an entry gate to the Prater recreation area. But that place is also a place for populace. Anyway, it looks nicer than in the past after a successful refurbishment.

The place has more than 3 roller coaster rides and a bungee chord! It almost has everything you need to have fun! The food there is a bit expensive though. But spending a day there was quite awesome!

I went over christmas, there were food stalls dotted around the place and christmas music and it was dark so the rides looked super cool. I had a great time, just a bit pricey having to pay 5-10 euros for each ride.

Few new rides this year, besides the traditional thrills my kids love. Sombrero, Extasy, Black Mamba, Taifun and of course the double looping. For the scary characters plentiful of other rides. Magic carpet, ghost house, Riesenrad etc. On a Sat evening it was quite busy and great atmosphere. Parking easy with the new park house. The only thing I did... More

Staying in Leopoldstadt

Neighbourhood Profile
Welcome to one of Vienna’s trendiest quarters. The second district has witnessed a turbulent ride, from medieval swamp to vibrant Jewish quarter, from pleasure ground for the noble and humble to current hip residence and workplace of Vienna’s creative crowd. Cross the Danube Canal from the city centre and take in life on Taborstrasse with its mix of old townhouses, churches, theatres, discount shops and ethnic restaurants. Head for Augarten via Karmelitermarkt, Leopoldstadt’s trendy marketplace. Baroque Augarten itself hosts a bizarre mix of manicured hedges and flowerbeds in front of a colossal World War II defense tower, the publicly accessible 300-year-old Augarten porcelain manufactory, the palatial boarding school and funky concert hall of the Vienna Boys Choir, and the modern art museum TBA21. At its opposite corner, The Prater not only houses the Giant Ferris Wheel but blends a bustling amusement park with lush woodland, perfect for a bike tour. Further east is the old derby racing ground of Krieau.
