Nobody seems to know exactly where Mozart is buried, but there's a monument here on a likely spot. It's interesting, and so is the rest of the cemetery. As you might expect, it's quiet. We only saw 2 other people while we were there.

St. Marx is well worth a visit! The scenery is just enchanting and this place is unique in the world! Especially in spring when the lilac is in blossom and in autumn when the leafs of the trees change their color, this cemetery becomes a...More

It's a very old place, very paceful and well maintained also. The most relevant thing is the zone where presumably are Mozart's remains. A "must" for classic music lovers and Mozart's fans.

Take tram 71 from the operahouse, it's on the way to the other cemetery (Zentralfriedhof) but get off before (St. Marx) and follow the signs to the cemetery. It is easy to follow. When you enter the cemetery, walk up the hill down the main...More

Perhaps this was just me but I had to ask at least three different people to find this cemetery so here's how to do it. Catch the tram number 72 from central Vienna, the destination is given as Zentral Freidhof. Alight at St Marx stop....More
