Another beautiful piece of baroque art in the middle of Vienna. We just stumbled across it coming back from dinner and it just struck me for its simple majestic quietness. The night photo made it even more majestic. I love Vienna: you just walk around and something appear: unexpected!

Nice fountain, close to ankeruhr. Located in a very nice square. I'm not sure why it is 'wedding fountain' ...

If you go see the Hoher Market Clock, then this monument is right next to it. It is a beautiful piece. After passing St. Stephan's Cathedral, about two blocks on your left is Lichtensteg. Turn in here and the clock and the Marriage fountain are on your right.

This is sweet and lovely and sure if you are there, be sure to stop by. It is not one of those places that if you don't go you will feel as though you didn't visit the city BUT since you are there and most likely you will be walking close by it is worth taking a peak. if you... More

Going from the Jesuits church towards the Judenplatz along the Lichtensteg one can’t avoid being startled when arriving at the Hoher Markt at the sight of the fountain Vermählungsbrunnen. It is a magnificent monument which was constructed in the eighteenth century by Johann Emanuel Fischer von Erlach, Austrian baroque architect. It is made mainly of marble and bronze and is... More

This fountain is something barely noticeable, because it has no water and we mostly remember this place for the Third Man, as well as notice the clock. I don't know why there is no water and why it is covered with net, but I guess it's temporary. It would give a nice touch to this square if it worked. It's... More

The fountain is large and has no water and is covered with a net. If you come make it at noon so you can see the clock nearby strike midday.

to call this sight the marriage "fountain" is a bit deceptive as there was no water flowing and was more of a statue / monument than a fountain. Saying that, it is a quite attractive monument, and worth a look as it is only a few yards from the Ankeruhr
