We enjoyed our visit here. The film they run on Svalbard was interesting and beautiful. We were at the seal pool while one of the girls was cleaning the glass fence and watched her playing with one of the seals. It was fun to watch....More

This is a great family-friendly museum. We really enjoyed watching the seal training and learning from the trainers. The café serves yummy cakes and coffee. A great place to visit.
Families with little kids will appreciate a visit to Polaria. Teenagers and adults will be able to wander through the entire building in less than an hour. If you like seals, this would be a place to consider visiting when in Tromso.

The architecture is great but don't expect a huge modern museum. It is very basic and the panoramic show is really old (just projector screens laid out together). The displays are also not great and are very limited. Kids will probably enjoy.
Enjoyed the exhibits and the opportunity to see some of the animals closer than usual. If you are in Tromso you should definitely see it.
