More
The Royal Stables are worth a visit in their own right. Renovated for the opening of the Queen Sonja Art Stable, the stables now appear as they did in their heyday - in the interwar years when King Haakon and Queen Maud kept their horses here. Today, The Queen Sonja Art Stable is a museum and art gallery, with exhibitions changing 3-4 times each year. The exhibitions vary between historical items from the Royal Collections and art. Please visit Royalcourt.no for information on the current exhibition and opening hours.

The old stables and the items have been beautifully restored, and it is interesting to see this little known part of the royal family’s history. Fun for the younger generation as well.

This is a very nice, new gallery which was opened at the Queens 80th birthday. It used to be the royal stables but now houses a gallery at this time showing norwegian graphic art given to the Queen for her birthday. The interior of the...More
