A few years since I've been, but I loved going down the islands on the ferry. In the summer time take your swim wear, a towel and a picnic. A really beautiful place.

I had some extra time and an Oslo Pass, so I took a few of the ferries around to see Oslo from the water, and also just see the islands. I ended up getting off on a few of them, one was almost covered by...More

No trip to Oslo is complete without a boat ride on the fjord, on a boat leaving from Aker Brygge. Transportation to the nearby islands for sunbathing and picnics is the same price as taking a city bus, metro or street car. Or you can...More

God's creation here is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. Don't miss seeing the Fjords they are breathtaking and pictures do not capture the real beauty. Most rides also offer a local guide to get off the ship and hike the countryside for...More

We purchased public transport tickets which gave access to busses, trains and ferries. Did ferry trips to the different islands. Lovely scenic trip.

We went on the 4.30 boat trip around the fjord, it was a lovely sunny afternoon. We had commentary in Engliish with a slight humorist touch to it. Refreshments available on board

An amazing two hours floating on calm cobalt blue waters, gliding past little emerald islands lush with vegetation underneath a clear sky full of warm sunshine. The air was clean and visibility perfect. Occasionally fluffy clouds floated so low and were so white against the...More

It's ok. It's not like the Gareingerfjord, it's just a body of salt water. Not terribly interesting or pretty.
