Oslo's Botanic Garden is situated only a scream away from the Munch Museum. Be sure to pay it a visit. After being indoors seeing great art it feels even better to take a walk among thousands of greenies in a quiet athmosphere, even though the...More

We walked to the gardens form central Oslo. The route took us past a mosque where Friday prayers were just finishing and the men were emerging onto the street, halal meat shops and sari shops. These were a surprise. Entry to the gardens is free....More

Although I didn't like Oslo very much, this was one of the best parts of my visit. The Garden is not too big, but there is a lot to see. I especially liked the real size Viking ship model made out of tree branches, with...More

If you are interrested in plants and gardens, you must visit this park. It has different gardens, like "grandma's garden", a "viking garden", a "pharmaceutical garden" and greenhouses with cacti and tropical plants. Entrance is free and the park is well maintainted.

Wort the small detour walking from the city centre to the Munch museum. Beautiful old trees and thematic areas e.g. grandmother's garden. Good view of the city.
