Came to Mass while in Oslo on business walked from my hotel and was grateful to celebrate Mass with them. It is certainly old and was as others have stated a simple but historic and well appointed. If you look to see the Catholic faith...More

I did expect more when compared to previous cathedrals I've visited over Europe and from what some have told me about the cathedral... Simple yet still impressive.

From an Italian point of view it is nothing of special. Inside there are few decorations, but outside is very nice and well integrated with shops and restaurants.

Located at Karl Johans gate 11, it is a large structure but rather plain from the outside. However, upon entering through the decorated bronze doors, one is awed by the imposing paintings on the ceiling, the Baroque pulpit and altar and lovely stained glass windows....More

We attended the Christmas Eve service in this beautiful old church. The boys' choir was singing and the church was packed. We could not understand a word but the entire service was uplifting.

We originally visited to take the opportunity to rest our weary legs and spent quite a while enjoying the peacefulness and serenity of the building whilst admiring its impressive ceiling decorations. The altar is also very impressive and features the crucifixion and the last supper....More

The most amazing thing for me about this Cathedral is that mostly everything is made from wood. It might look like marble and gold but its wood and paint. Extraordinary. The organ is also a work of art with enormous sound capacity. There are regular...More

I was in Oslo in April, the weather was nice, about 14-16 degrees C, you need something warm to sit outside if you want to enjoy your meal outside, that is very nice. It may rain also at that time.
