Bear in mind this is an extension of the main railway station. It seems silly to say it but the station is like the best international airport ever and is worth a visit even if you're not travelling by train. There are shops and eateries...More

This is the old railway station at Oslo East, which is now Oslo Central Station. The most useful place here is “Oslo Visitor Centre”. This old railway hall has been converted to something that wants to be an "upscale food hall". Sure, there are some...More

Nice scenery, convenient location, warm. Good range of places to eat (snack food) and drink with an information centre for tourists here.

Few years back the refurbished Østbanehallen and made it more exclusive. It resembles a kind of a food hall with a few bars and restaurants. It is definitely better than it used to be, but at the end of the day... this is a part...More

If you are looking for a place to dine or just have a snack or a drink you have a lot of choices to pick from. It is centrally located but rather busy as this is just at the railway station (Oslo Sentral-stasjon). Nice outdoor...More

Next to the new train station in Oslo is the former converted train station of the city. In front of this building is a huge plaza containing shops and restaurants along with Karl Johan Street running perpendicular to the old station. Statues and sculptures are...More

Loved the structure and building. Some little shops (food mostly). Just an enjoyable structure. Recommend starting walk here (or finishing) and walking up Karl Johans to the Palace. Lots if interesting things along way.

Ostbanehallen is the oldest part of Oslo Central Station, first opened in 1852 and reconstructed in 1882. In 2012 it was transformed to a modern oasis with beautiful old architecture. Now you can find here many restaurants and bars. Many have also outdoor serving during...More

A good food hall with a variety of options for either a quick dinner or a sit down meal before a train. Would recommend the grilled cheese sandwiches from MELT. Yes it’s expensive but everything in Norway is!

It's a nice place to walk through, lots of places to get food. The prices are a bit high if you actually want to eat.
