Stayed close by for 10 days and spent every day in the Dovrefjell National Park area. Some days we went on the bus to Snøhetta and other days we just walked from the park gates. Be prepared to walk for miles but its worth it and we covered over 70 miles in 10 days and came across lots of Musk... More

Huge area of wilderness with musk ox and wild reindeer. Snøhetta at its center was formerly believed to be the highest mountain in Scandinavia, until Jotunheimen was explored. Use the shuttle bus to get deep into the area.

This review concerns the Dovre plateau, a mountain range that divides southern Norway from the mid and northern parts of the country. The area has several beautiful mountain tops, like Snøhetta.
