Nidaros Cathedral is the national sanctuary of Norway. Work began in 1070, and the building was completed in about 1300. After being damaged by fire, it lay largely in ruins for several hundred years. In 1869 extensive restorations were begun, and a century later the cathedral was again restored to its original grandeur.

Unless you go in as a part of a sermon, you will have to pay to access this church. Pictures are not allowed out of respect to the parishioners.

Beautiful and gorgeous church outside and inside. It costs 90 NOK to go inside. But it is worth! It is not allowed to make photos/videos inside the church.

It depends on the season. The "pilgrims" show up in the summer, that I am sure about and when they do there are in fact daily, evening organ recittals for them and you can sit with the pilgrims and listens along.

The Hurtigruten ferries have trips with guides there most days. If you are not arriving by boat, go to the port booking office and see if you can join one?

According to their summer program, there doesn't seem to be a organ recital on that day, sorry!
