Nice place with a fine collection of Norwegian armies weapons and equipment through the ages. The diorama's have been set up quite well and it really is a nice place to visit when interested in military matters.

This museum helps you understand the military history of Norway and the resistance movement during WWII. The museum is well done with displays done in both Norwegian and English. No charge to get in.

Scattered around the municipality are dozens of historical sites, monuments, museums, and decaying ruins, from pre-history, viking times, the middle ages, the inter-Scandinavian conflicts, the Nazi occupation, and the great era of Norwegian shipping dominance. With...More

The museum told of the invasion by Germany and how some Norwegians were in a Nazi movement that infiltrated the Resistance, taking revenge upon the resistors. To minimize this effect, it was necessary to bring in soldiers from England whose job it was to sabotage...More

This is well worth a visit especially as it is free! (A rarity in Norway!) Spent 45 mins in there and learned quite a bit about the history of conflicts in Nirway.
