We decided to go during a rainy afternoon even though we knew the views wouldn’t be the greatest. Well the views turned out better than we thought and we got some great shots. The wind was very strong and made standing outside on the viewing...More

The trip up and down the mountain to the view point is effortless with the cable train. Cost for a return ticket was 95 NOK. Great views of Bergen from the top. This is one of the must do activities when in Bergen.

Join the long lines for the funicular. The ride is very quick but the view has that wow value. Almost didn’t go because of the line, but it moves fairly quickly. Shows what a beautiful city Bergen is.

The trip to the top of Mount Floyen was well worth the price, even if we had some rain. To have the maximum experience, try to get the front seat on the way down. We were treated to a double rainbow!!

We found if there are cruise ships in, it is better to wait until around midday before trying to go up in the Funicular as there were long queues. The carriages (two on a balanced system) car about 65 people per journey which takes just...More

Fantastic trip up funicular railway (tip: buy tickets before you get there to save one queue ) to arrive at a most spectacular viewpoint. There are a couple of cafes, a shop, children's play area and several walks at the top as well.

Don't be scared by the line, it moves fast. The trip up to the top of Mount Floyen only takes 5 minutes and the view is spectacular!! There are lots of hiking trails and places to grab a bit to eat, ice cream and souvenirs.

If taking the blue bus tour, purchase a ticket at the same time to avoid the line at entry point. Great experience.

From what I can see, it is around a 25 minute journey from the airport to the port. I would imagine you would have time to do the funicular, provided you don't spend hours at the top.

I have not visited this place in November, but I think you will have to do this in middle of the day as sunlight will be an issue. Summer is best time to visit though but I am sure winter has it's own charm
