If you're going to Bergen you must check out the harbour and all the colourful buildings. Also for anyone not in the know, take a walk through them and take in all the buildings set back from the pathway.

Very intresting place. Worth exploring the alleys. Shops are fun to look around and there are resterants which are expensive but the bakery is cheaper

such a lovely setting for a pint outside (if it doesn't rain!) we came here for a night out and had a great laugh drinking pints with sailors!

These old buildings on the waterfront are beautiful. They are very colourful and sit at an angle to each other with doors that look wonky. They contain shops to the front but wander in behind them and see the old buildings.

That's really interesting, tracing your ancestry. There is a ship service for the Norwegian coast called Hurtegrutigan (I'm not sure if I've spelt that right). It's a good way to explore Norway and might serve the... More

You can google "Norway in a nutshell" and have someone putting together a combo for you. But it's totally doable on your own. Just buy the train ticket from Oslo to Flam on NSB website, and the Naeroyfjord cruise from Flam... More

A visit to Edward Kreigs summer house and concert hall whiled away a very pleasant afternoon. Bryggen Old Town is well worth a visit. We were there in mid winter and took great delight in seeing icy lakes and rivers... More
