I planned to go around hardanger fjord in a day. There is nothing around the fjord, "only" the nature. I'm used to visiting cities with landmarks and firstly it was a bit uncomfortable to start without clear targets for sightseeing. We ended up stopping every...More

No words to express your feeling when you are in the middle of the sea admiring this fyord, quiet, peace, although you are surrounded by people you can feel and smell the silence of nature. Unforgettable experience!!!

Beautiful Fjord. Peaceful atmosphere and different natural scenery than the other Fjords we visited. Side excursion to Voringffossen waterfalls is excellent.

This is the essence or Norway, as seen in the postcards. Lots of lovely villages, sweet people and gorgeous scenery. Must do!

Fjord country is very stunning. Beautiful blue/green water set against tall rising walls of granite. The only downside for me was getting car sick from the road. Otherwise magnificent views at every turn. Waterfalls abound and we stayed in Ulvik at the Braknes Hotel. It...More

This is a beautiful trip. I love waterfalls and they were everywhere. Sometimes you would see more than 10 at one time.

Cruised up and down this flord, at 111 miles the second longest in Norway, to the town of Eidfjord, at the end of one arm. The Hardanger bridge replaces the old ferry, cutting hours off the drive between Bergen and Oslo. Completed in Aug. 2013,...More

Hi Angela! It would be better to book a fiord tour in advance! Check the possibilities in "Norway in a nutshell" and enjoy it!

I am sorry but I don't really think so. A proper tour will take up most of the daylight hours.

Hardanger tour takes 11 hours so it's unlikely that you can get back to board
