Had dinner here and was really pleased with our meal. It was of an excellent quality and extremely good value for Norway. With wine and beer and a main course for 2 it was 600 kronar which was the cheapest meal of the whole holiday. Also the staff were extremely friendly and helpful as I have a food allergy and... The location is convenient though, next to the theater. It has a cosy atmosphere, but Overly rated, coffee was cold and not of the best quality. I'd rather go to starbucks for a better cup of coffee!!

After getting our Nepresso shots, we asked the shop assistant to recommend us a place for tea and she suggested cafe opera. We ordered Nachos, lemon pie and Apple cake. The nachos were nice and crisp and the salsa was nice and tasty, quite different from those back home. The lemon pie with vanilla ice-cream was heavenly while the apple... More

Don't sit at the tables outside and expect to be served. You will wait forever. Instead go inside and if you just want a drink , order and pay for it and take it outside. Beers are a little cheaper than some other places and the food is resonably good. Lots of students, free wifi.

Our family love to sit and have an afternoon tea, formal or informal, need to order at the counter and get it by yourself other than bigger orders and sandwiches to be served, a place for locals and gladly had the opportunity to join them.

After a long and tedious day doing Norway in a Nutshell I was hungry and tired. Cafe Opera was close by and the menu looked friendly, as in uncomplicated. I ordered minestrone soup, toast, and apple cake with americano decaf coffee. The soup was simple veggie soup and delicious. Toast = pannini and it hit the spot. Yes, without realizing... More
