With a group of friends we dicided to visit the Ålesund Church, to update ourselves. This church is very well worth the visit. But, mainly open in the summer midday.

This is one of many fine churches in this area. During the Cruise ship season it is normally open. Well worth a visit - great design & also the Glass windows from Kaiser Wilhelm after the rebuild from the Ålesund fire in 1904.

Was very fortunate to be there for the attendance for a memorial for the fallen veterans of Norway and a wonderful Church Service on Sunday morning

The church is worth a visit and the price to get in is very small, I think 3 KR. It does not take much time so if you walk by you should go in and take a look.

Stained glass interesting. Organist was practising so an added bonus. Minimal 3kroner donation charged. Beautiful setting. Pleasant garden and surrounding area

a little off the beaten path, but worth the time, They are charging a small admission fee, but it was worth it and they provide an interesting handout in English so you would not miss any of the high lights

It was small, but impressive when you consider the town of Alesund, which is tiny. You can walk across it in about 15 minutes yet this church was so important to this place at the time of it's construction it was built rather well and...More

My husband and I visited the church while we were in Alesund Norway. The church is beautiful inside and has very good acoustics for organ music. On the day we were there, we heard an organ recital by Nikolas Fehr, a talented young man. Also,...More

We could clearly see this interesting looking church from our cruise ship so we set off on the 15 minute or so uphill walk to the building. Unfortunately despite helpful signs indicating we should use the door round the next corner, each proved to be...More
