Weather was a bit overcast and rain therefore this was a good option. We had a wonderful guide you explained all the fascinating tools and machines. Well worth the visit.

Was in Kristiansund and wandered down the waterfront. We saw a sign for a museum and kept walking. Almost missed it, but as we walked thru the marina we saw a building and a young man was sitting there. Asked him where the museum was...More

I read all the other Trip Advisor reviews before we visited and honestly, I expected a lot more than we got. I expected to see exhibits with at least minimal explanations of what I was seeing. Nothing was labeled (not even in Norwegian); it wasn't...More

I have walked through a few times. Worth a look, but really only to spend more than perhaps 30 minutes to an hour. As noted elsewhere by another, worth a skim!

This is a museum full of history. It is nothing fancy, but you definitely can feel like a local. Staff is super friendly, and although the place gets cold during winters, it is awesome to try some black smithing there!
