This is a long stretch of coastal land and is one of the essence of Rogaland. We walk it regularly - for hours; and you never get tired of the scenery.

This beach are excellent for all kind of wathersports. Ie for kiting there is no limitations except following the ordenary kiting rules. At Sola Strand there are limitations due to the airport so here you can feel free! There are also perfect kayaking possibilities and if you are in the mod for struggeling the waves close to the rocks, feel... More

We were at Jæren on a surfe course and it was absolutely amazing. The beaches here are beautiful with nice pure sand dunes in the back. Good place to bring the kids, walk on the beach or learn how to surf.

This is one of the most wonderful areas in Norway, with a rough, windy coast, and a beautiful cultivated agricultural land that produces a lot of food, with large fields separated by big rocky fences. Enjoy seeing animals grazing while appreciating the hard work our ancestors have done clearing these lands and making the stone fences..

Do you like water activities such as surfing or kiting? Good, then this area is offers some of the best wind and waves in the country! Just be aware that the water rarely go above 16 degrees. If you are more into long walks on the beach to clear your mind and just enjoy nature or simply just sit down... More

Maybe the most beautiful @ the coast of Rogaland. This place stretches from the top of the top of Sola and down south. A paradise for surfers and kiters. It continues down all the way, and you will see new beaches at all times. Norway's longest, and the most liked place of all water sports. Heavy current is guaranteed. Hopefully... More

Jæren is the coastline with miles and miles of beaches and agricultural landscape between Stavanger and Sirevaag. Four rivers with Salmon and Sea Trout. Behind this the "High Jæren", mountanious area up to 350m above sea level, with lots of lakes where you can chase the Trout or just go hiking. I live here... Need I say more?

The Jaeren Tourist Route is a wonderful drive that brings you right along the seacoast and is very beautiful. Lots of places to stop and take pictures and enjoy the beauty of nature. Highly recommend!!!

Take your time to explore Jæren. It stretches for miles. Be sure to visit farms, museums and quaint little towns. Stay a few days and do include a stroll next to the sea and listen to the waves crashing against the beaches and stones. Music for the soul...
