Pulpit Rock is well worth it, not only for the view at the rock but before it as well. Only advice is to get on the first ferry from Stavanger so that you can beat the big crowds! We were on the first one and...More

We went on a Wednesday. took the 8.15am ferry service from Stavanger to Tau, and back on the 4.25pm bus service from car park to Tau ferry port. The bus was near full. The view on both ferry and bus was great.

DO NOT BOOK THIS SERVICE. We arrived at 5.10pm for the 5.25pm service. The bus driver said a private group had booked the bus and refused us entering the bus. Einer the driver first said it's not his problem and wait for the 6.25pm bus....More

While the bus was very comfortable and the drivers very friendly it failed to offer the service promised. The timetable showed a bus leaving at 14.10 but it never arrived - instead we had to wait until 14.55 which was the next bus anyway. This...More

Visited Predikestolen with my daughter, and brought tickets from Stavanger at Tide Reiser. There is too few inbound (home) tours, resulting in long waiting time and huge frustration on-boarding the bus. I will suggest travelers to consider alternatives, eg rentals.

Efficient. Just make sure your time tables are in order. Lysefjord is quite isolated and missing a ferry may delay your stay for a up to a day.

Just buy your ticket and they make it very easy to get to Preikestolen. Price is reasonable and their bus is very comfortable.

As the titel says, the trips were very efficiënt from Tau dock were the ferry arrives to the parkinglot by the start of the trail and vice versa. The drop-off is right infront the trailhead so you can inmmidatly start the hike. Reason to close...More

Myself and my travelling companion booked our hike to Preikestolen a few months in advance and couldn't fault Tide as a company. Buses were on time and correlated perfectly with the ferries, the first bus of the day was quite full but that's only to...More

The bus in the morning took way more people than it could, some people had to stand up all the way to Preikestolen. On our way back, the bus was late and so was the ferry. We're tired from the hiking and we expected a...More

Mr. Abraham, we do feel this is a bit unfair rating us this low. According to EU / Norwegian law the Preikestolbus can take on standing passengers in addition to the seated. IF one wants to stand, or one could wait for the second bus...More

Boreal offers bus transportation from Tau quay to Preikestolen Mountain Lodge. You will need to purchase your ferry tickets separately which you can do on the ferry or online.
