Went for a visit to this historical mine that started to be restored in 1989. It was great to see what they have been able to unearth. The way they have lit the excavations and presented the mine is extraordinary. There is probably a lot...More

When I was young I had recurring dreams about this mine, namely the big cavern you can see with all the little tunnels lit up coming off it. This was when I was 2 or 3, despite visiting the mine for the first time when...More

I didn't even know this place existed until a family member told me despite it being discovered 30 years ago. The history of the mine and going into the caves is great, its hard to imagine what it was liking living in those times and...More

Having not been to Llandudno before, we drove around to see what was about. We couldn't park anywhere near the tram way so we decided to drive to the top of Great Orme. At the top you have a great view, it was very windy...More

I wasn't sure what to expect, but certainly wasn't disappointed. This is a bronze age mining site which was rediscovered in 1987 after being extensively mined in the 18th and 19th centuries. The walk through the underground section was fascinating, and all the displays were...More

We came here with family and friends. I think it is a little expensive for what it is. The mine was good. I have been to another mine before which took a lot longer to see and visit. So compared to that it wasn't worth...More

A well presented experience that helps you understand the site and experience a little of what it was like. Certainly makes you wonder how it all functioned at the time and the ingenuity of early people. Equally fascinating that it was only recently discovered and...More

I would have loved to take my children (grandchildren now) round as I think they would love it. You'll need to carry the 5 month old.

Hi David, The underground trip is 200 metres long, there are 35 steps down and the same up again. You need to be fairly steady on your feet to be able to manage the tour.
