We had an enjoyable bike ride today, with the exception of a couple of steep slopes which stopped me in my tracks!! My husband managed to stay on his bike and wait for me at the top. Lovely views and not crowded at all. Highly recommend the home made sausage roll and chocolate cake at the cafe - a well... More

Visited today with my husband and decided to do the circular walk which is about 8 miles and took around 2.5 hours. The walk is a gentle one and very plesant. The water is always in view, some of the walk is through woods so some shading given for when the sun is out! All day parking is £3.00 but... More

Had a lovely walk. I observed many people had dogs on leads which was strange. Later I saw a sign that... More

Lovely place for a walk, sadly dogs have to be kept on leads (although i couldn't find anywhere on the website which told us this before our visit). So we wouldn't visit again. For families it would be a lovely day out.

We go here quite regularly when the weather cheers up. The water area is big! Boat club and lessons for water craft, all very organised. Good parking, nice cafe and a bike hire centre. There is a lovely walk all around the water (about 8 miles) which takes you through all sorts of surroundings with really nice places to just... More

What a lovely place to take my mum who has not been out much for the last few months due to an op, it was such a nice day, thought we could get some fresh air, we had a lovely time with coffee and cake, which was yummy, they were very good and let us take a chair outside as... More

Went to the lake for a run, nice paths/trails around the edge of the lake, roughly 7.5 miles using the bridge, 10.5 the whole way round. Nice scenery and cheap parking.
