Unmissable building on the waterfront. Very splendid building. It is now offices so access is not available. There is a gaol at street level that is worth a photo.

The Old Customs House down on the waterfront has been photographed I would say more than a million times, it's been part of Ipswich history since 1844 and it's a Grade 2 listed building. It's a fascinating building with lots to learn about, so why...More

Now the home of the port authority and although you can view the outside there is no indication that public viewing is encouraged.

Not the sort of building one would actually make a point of visiting; but on a strole along the Waterfront it has a nice aspect to look at. Good from the other side of the river too; and another historical building.

Located in the town center, this is a beautiful building. I didn't go inside, but enjoyed the architecture.

Wonderful old building from Ipswich's Maritime past; unfortunately it's offices so access isn't available inside. The exterior however is imposing, from a time of sea faring strength and is majestic in it's prime site to view all shipping arrivals.........

I was so pleased to see that the Authorities have seen fit to preserve this great historical building, despite allowing developers to ravage and utterly ruin the remainder of the waterside and docks. The building dates from the mid 19c and still contains the offices...More

Without a doubt the greatest building at the Ipswich Waterfront. It would have been nice if some of the newer developments slightly mimicked its style a little.
